Pastor Keri McHattie finds the opportunity to serve at Kalama Nazarene to be a new adventure. She was made lead pastor starting in May of 2023. Keri has a heart for Missions, serving the Community and making connections with the people that she crosses paths with.

Keri has her Bachelors of Science with a double major in Bible & Youth Ministries followed by a Masters of Divinity from Dubuque Theological Seminary. When Keri isn’t enjoying time in nature, traveling, being an Aunt, or doing art, you’ll find her trying to keep up with her 3 longterm International Exchange sons, Chansol (S. Korea), Dennis (Taiwan) & Arturo (Spain).

Bob Hill started out in Kalama, traveled - and found his way back! Bob has been an Engineer for Boeing, later Drove Truck and was the Operations Clerk for the Army Air Force Exchange Service & served as Senior Pastor for Castlerock Church of the Nazarene. But Kalama was always his home!

When Bob first started coming to Kalama Nazarene he was only 2 years old! He became a member at the age of 16 and we are glad for his return to the story here in Kalama at the Church. Bob has been our Church Board Secretary for 18 years. We are blessed by his wisdom, history and deep insight. Bob rolls with the changes of the world and desires for all to be reached by the love of God.

Bob’s favorite things to do in his down time is wood turning. He loves finding Jesus in nature, but also loves creating himself. His inner engineer is still there, getting excited about every new power tool on the market that he can use to advance his carving. Why whittle when there is a wood-lathe with variable speed that is reversible & has a 14 x 20 capacity?!

Pam Coulson has had her run of valley’s and mountaintops & in all things, God has blessed her! She has 2 adopted sons, has been a preschool teacher and now serves our Children’s Ministry. She has been a certified Nanny as well. Pam serves on our Board of Elders, our Serving Hands Team, Grants Team and has a servant heart often found creating meals and being one of the last to leave after cleaning up.

Pam loves being open with people and building connection. You will find her a willing participant on any range of activities. She finds inspiration for life watching how God gifts the children she works with. The are at an age where everything is new and an opportunity to explore. Pam keeps her childlike wonder by being an explorer herself. She loves to travel across the world and back and see what God is up to in other places.

Luna (full name “Lady Moonshine”) is Pastor Keri’s dog. Luna will be the first one to introduce herself at Church. She has a passion for people know she excited you have arrived and she plans to sit with you.

Luna is already an excellent greeter, comforter and participant. We are excited to see her as “staff”, to be there to provide care and comfort for those who need her special gifting as we see God endows.

Luna is also very gifted at eating leaves, stealing shoes and demanding peanut butter with bananas.
